Trisha L. Mangano, DC
Chiropractic Physician & Medical Acupuncture
Dr. Trisha L. Mangano is an experienced chiropractic physician with 30 years of clinical practice and more than 20 years of experience in acupuncture. Her approach to care combines extensive clinical experience with a strong belief in treating each patient as an individual and addressing the many factors that contribute to pain, mobility, function, and overall well-being.
Originally from southern New Jersey, Dr. Mangano earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Temple University in Philadelphia before attending Northwestern College of Chiropractic in Minnesota, where she received both her Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) degrees. She also earned her Fellowship from the International Academy of Medical Acupuncture (FIAMA) and has incorporated acupuncture into her clinical practice for more than two decades.
Dr. Mangano spent 13 years practicing in Virginia before relocating to Delaware in 2008 to be closer to family. She has continued caring for patients throughout Delaware ever since.
Dr. Mangano believes strongly in a holistic and individualized approach to patient care, recognizing the interconnected roles of physical health, emotional well-being, lifestyle, and overall wellness. She encourages patients to take an active role in their health and works collaboratively with them to develop treatment plans tailored to their individual conditions, needs, and goals.
Her clinical approach incorporates a broad range of chiropractic and complementary techniques, including Diversified Technique, Cox Flexion-Distraction, Activator Methods, Myofascial Release, Active Release Techniques (ART), extremity adjusting, instrument-assisted techniques, and acupuncture. By drawing from multiple treatment modalities, she is able to customize care based on each patient’s presentation rather than relying on a single treatment approach.
As part of the Apico Pain and Wellness team, Dr. Mangano complements our multidisciplinary approach to pain management by integrating chiropractic care, acupuncture, and other conservative therapies with the broader treatment options available within the practice.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Mangano enjoys an active outdoor lifestyle. She especially enjoys cycling, kayaking, hiking, and spending time in nature. She is also actively involved in her community and participates in a variety of community service initiatives.
