NANS Conference
2023 NANS Conference: It was an honor to be at the Annual North American Neuromodulation Society (NANS) meeting held in Las Vegas! So exciting to present as #Faculty, provide demonstrations of new #MedicalDevices, participate on a group panel, see old friends, meet new colleagues, and learn about the latest advances in #neuromodulation.
What is #Neuromodulation? Neuromodulation refers to the alteration of nerve activity through the delivery of electrical or chemical signals. This can be achieved through a variety of techniques, such as deep brain stimulation, spinal cord stimulation, and vagus nerve stimulation. This can also include techniques such as deep brain stimulation (DBS), which uses electrical impulses to target specific areas of the brain, and transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), which uses magnetic fields to stimulate nerve cells. Chemical neuromodulation can include the use of drugs or neurotransmitters to alter neural activity. The specific mechanisms of neuromodulation can vary depending on the method used and the area of the brain being targeted. Neuromodulation is used to treat a range of medical conditions, including #ChronicPain, Parkinson’s disease, and depression.
Are you in pain? Can’t wait for months to see a #PainDoctor? Rany Abdallah MD, PhD, MBA is available to meet with you to discuss how neuromodulation may be a help in finding relief. Call us to use our Real-Time Rapid-Response appointment system and get seen FAST. Call 855-932-7426.
