01The treatment

What Is It?

Trigger points are focal areas of tight, painful muscle that can produce local discomfort or referred pain. They may occur with injury, repetitive strain, poor posture, spine disorders, or chronic guarding.

02How it works

How Can It Help?

Trigger point injections place a small amount of medication directly into selected painful muscle areas. The goal is to reduce spasm and tenderness so stretching, movement, and rehabilitation are easier.

What Can Patients Expect?

Patients may have temporary soreness after treatment. Trigger point injections are usually most useful as part of a broader plan that addresses posture, strength, flexibility, and the underlying cause of muscle overload.
