01The treatment

What Is It?

Physical therapy and rehabilitation help patients improve movement, strength, flexibility, endurance, balance, and confidence with activity. Rehabilitation can be valuable both as a first-line treatment and as an important part of recovery after injections, procedures, surgery, or prolonged periods of pain.

02How it works

How Can It Help?

Pain can lead to guarding, weakness, altered movement patterns, and deconditioning. A targeted rehabilitation program works to reverse these changes while addressing the specific body region involved. Programs may include core or cervical stabilization, strengthening, mobility work, posture correction, desensitization, gait training, graded activity, and work-focused rehabilitation.

What Can Patients Expect?

The program is tailored to the diagnosis and current level of function. Progress is usually gradual, with the goal of improving what a patient can safely do rather than focusing only on a pain score.
